The three flutes here represent the three goddesses of fate. Each of them is responsible for its own: the traverse flute keeps the past, the second flute looks for opportunities in the present, and the third one is in the future with its thoughts. Throughout the play, the performers stretch a material yarn around the stage, symbolizing the labyrinth of human destiny.
